UAE in talks to sign sport sector agreement with Spain

DUBAI: The UAE and Spain discussed plans on signing a sports agreement in order to develop the sector and enhance cooperation between both countries, state news agency WAM reported on Saturday.
Secretary-General of the General Authority for Sports Saeed Abdul Ghaffar told Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Spain in the UAE Jaime Iglesias that he is keen to offer all facilities that will achieve the signing of the agreement and means of joint cooperation.
Both countries have previously cooperated in the Sports sector by introducing LaLiga Academy’s 2020/2021 season in the UAE, earlier in August.
The academy welcomed all players at its place in Dubai Sports City, with more than 2,000 male and female players learning to play football in the LaLiga way.
